Base pay range

CA$33.89/hr - CA$41.58/hr

Job Details

• Preparing and administering radioactive agents to patients and performing nuclear medicine procedures
• Following policies, procedures, work practices, and license conditions of the nuclear medicine department, in compliance with Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission Regulations
• Performing quality control checks on imaging equipment, thyroid well, and uptake unit
• Communicating effectively with patients, DI staff, physicians, and radiologists
• Selecting appropriate camera, image parameters, collimator, computer settings, and accessories for procedures
• Performing radiopharmacy duties, including preparation, QC of radiopharmaceuticals, and dose calibrator checks
• Ensuring reagents and kits are stocked and within expiration

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of formal study in Nuclear Medicine as a Medical Radiation Technologist from a recognized program
• Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), College of Allied Health Professionals of Prince Edward Island (CAHPPEI), and CAMRT-ATL
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good work and attendance record
• Additional relevant education and experience are assets

Salary: $33.89 - $41.58 per hour

Bi-Weekly Hours: 75 hours, rotating shifts including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call
