Summary:

Conduct routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data. Prepare for and assist the radiologist in intricate radiographic procedures, including preparation and administration of contrast media and medications, in accordance with regulations. Perform patient assessments and provide patient care. Evaluate the appropriateness of examinations and assess the quality of radiographic images.

Join our multidisciplinary care team: Staffed with physicians, APPs, RNs, CMAs, and MOAs. Clinics operate from 8am-8pm, 7 days a week, offering x-ray services only. Each shift is staffed with 1 radiologic technologist (number varies by shift). Rad techs are cross-trained to register patients, complete point-of-care testing, and perform other clinical tasks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology, adhere to departmental protocols, obtain and maintain RT(R) credentials, and troubleshoot equipment and protocol issues.
  2. Ensure accuracy of patient demographic data and examination requests, critique and save images, transmit QA-ed images to PACS, document procedures in RIS, maintain equipment, and utilize PACS and HIS systems effectively.
  3. Conduct routine radiology procedures to acquire diagnostic data.
  4. Perform quality radiographic images consistently, analyze requests, review images, ensure data accuracy, and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  5. Use RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS systems effectively for information access and documentation, modify orders, and verify proper data transmission.
  6. Verify patient identity, obtain relevant history, assess physical condition, develop an examination action plan, assist patients, react to emergencies, and ensure patient safety.
