Maritime Electric Company, Limited is seeking candidates for the position of GIS Technologist.

Reporting to the GIS & Data Analytics Coordinator, the GIS Technologist position is responsible for T&D asset and connectivity modelling, asset data management, GIS model integrity, and supporting data collection programs. The position includes developing and maintaining geospatial applications and tools, performing spatial analysis for operations and project support, managing the quality assurance of data in the GIS, and producing reports with geographic data utilizing data visualizations.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor degree or diploma in Geographic Information Systems, or an equivalent certificate. Preference will be given to candidates with two to five years of relatable experience.

The candidate must possess, but not limited to, the following skills and knowledge:

• Proficient in ESRI GIS software suite including enterprise geodatabases, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online
• Working knowledge of Python, ArcGIS Arcade, and SQL
• Working knowledge of ESRI Field Maps, Survey123, Web AppBuilder, and Dashboards
• Proficient in computer programs for word processing, data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Ability to interpret survey drawings and CADD files for geospatial modelling
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Problem solving, job task planning, and organizational skills for daily tasks
• Project Management skills (considered a valuable asset)
• Working knowledge of data analytics software such as Power BI (considered a valuable asset)

This position offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The pay range is between $67K and $85K per annum.
