Ontario Public Service (OPS) invites qualified physicians to join the Medical Consultant role within the Provider Services Branch. You will apply clinical expertise to support OHIP eligibility programs, review complex cases, and provide evidence-based recommendations that influence program integrity across Ontario.

You will lead negotiations with the Ontario Medical Association on physician remuneration, advise on policy and governance, and collaborate with policy, legal, and program teams to

Qualifications

Medical degree from a university of recognized standing.
Valid licence to practise medicine in Ontario.
Experience applying medical knowledge to policy and program decisions.
Ability to interpret legislation and OHIP Schedule of Benefits.

Responsibilities

Lead medical leadership for OHIP eligibility programs.
Review complex medical cases and adjudicate health program matters.
Provide evidence-based recommendations to inform policy and program delivery.
Negotiate physician remuneration with the Ontario Medical Association.
Advise on governance of OHIP-funded services across Ontario.
