Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist, GEN Laboratory, at the General Site. This casual, part-time role reports to the Manager, Core Laboratory, and may be assigned to any SHN hospital to meet departmental needs.

You will perform professional Core Laboratory services, ensuring safety practices and ongoing education compliance, with a focus on exceptional patient and stakeholder service.

Qualifications

• Must hold current General Certificate of Registration with CMLTO in Chemistry, Microbiology, Histology, Haematology and Immunohematology.
• Ability to work independently in Core Laboratory.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer service for patients, colleagues and community.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional Core Laboratory services.
• May be scheduled at any SHN hospital based on needs.
• Adhere to SHN safety programs and in-service education.
