Job summary

Shared Health in Swan River is seeking a General Duty Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform clinical analyses and report results on patient samples in accordance with SOPs. The role includes assisting with lab projects, QA activities, and maintaining accreditation standards in a safe, compliant environment at the Swan River Valley Health Centre.

Requirements include graduation from an approved MLT program and active registration with CMLTM (or eligibility).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program.
• Current registration or eligibility with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; adherence to QA and safety standards.
• English communication skills; French may be required in some contexts.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical analysis and report results on patient samples.
• Assist in general lab projects (SOPs, inventories, QA tasks).
• Maintain a safe lab environment and comply with accreditation standards.
• Rotate through workstations and participate in standby/callback as needed.
