Job summary

LifeLabs is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist for a permanent, regular part-time role in the Greater Sudbury area. The position offers afternoons, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM or 3:00 PM - 11:00 AM, with a start date ASAP.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic testing, sample processing and result release while safeguarding patient privacy. The role emphasizes collaborative teamwork in a fast-paced core lab, with opportunities to participate in implementing new technology and quality-improvement

Qualifications

Requires college or university credential in Medical Laboratory Science and current CMLTO registration.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities for a fast-paced lab.
Attention to detail and analytical skills are essential to accuracy.

Responsibilities

Conduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
Prepare and process samples with accurate labeling and documentation.
Perform, interpret and release results with patient confidentiality.
Identify incidents and participate in corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Assist with evaluating and implementing new technology.
Participate in problem solving related to workflow.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean lab environment.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and QA standards.
