Job summary

LifeLabs LP in Ontario is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist for a permanent, part-time role (0–20 hrs/week). The position ensures accurate testing, reporting and patient confidentiality in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Start date ASAP, day shift with potential weekends/evenings depending on availability. The role requires a college diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science, CMLTO registration, and strong communication within a collaborative team focused on safety, accuracy

Job description

Our Medical Lab Technologists provide accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Through accuracy, quality, efficiency and expediting test results, you will contribute to patient well-being and the achievement of better health outcomes. LifeLabs facilities are also known as teaching laboratories and offer opportunities to share knowledge in a collaborative environment. You will have 24-hour medical support through our Medical Science team and Medical Library, and the ability to teach our college and university student placements.

Status: Permanent, Part Time (0 - 20 hrs per week)

Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm; Mostly for days but sometimes for weekends and evenings depending on candidate's availability.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
• Prepare and process samples, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
• Performing, interpreting and releasing results, while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
