Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a Medical Imaging Technologist for Precision Health in Calgary. You will gather precise diagnostic data through bone density and body composition imaging as part of a care team to inform personalized health plans.

You will work with physicians, health coaches and other professionals to deliver high-quality imaging and support patient-centered care. Training and protocol evolution are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program with CAMRT certification.
• Current MRT registration with ACMDTT (Alberta).
• Proficient in bone densitometry and body composition imaging.
• Experience with PACS/RIS and EHR systems; quick to learn new health IT.
• Strong communication, judgment and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform bone density and body composition scans for preventive care.
• Verify patient identity and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Explain procedures and assist with patient positioning for quality imaging.
• Maintain imaging quality and comply with clinic and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot positioning or technical issues and document results.
• Collaborate with clinicians to support patient-centered care.
• Lead training and contribute to imaging protocol improvements.
• Support accreditation, safety, and quality initiatives.
