Job summary

Stingray is seeking a Media Sales Strategist for our Calgary team. You will represent top Stingray stations and a nationwide network, selling diverse media solutions to clients.

You will own the full sales cycle, drive revenue growth, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver impactful campaigns across radio, programmatic, video, DOOH, YouTube, search and social.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of in-person, consultative sales or account management experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong relationship-building while maintaining professionalism.
• Well-organized and able to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability to change with a positive, consultative mindset.
• Calgary resident with a valid driver’s license, vehicle access and valid insurance.

Responsibilities

• Represent three Stingray stations in Calgary and nationwide network opportunities.
• Leverage radio, digital, social, and programmatic solutions to grow clients’ brands.
• Own the full sales process from lead generation to closing.

We are currently looking for a Media Sales Strategist to join our Calgary team! This position reports to the General Sales Manager.

Your day-to-day

• Represent three of the most exciting stations in Calgary – XL103 the iconic classic hits radio station, one of the most popular choices on the dial, 3 AMP Radio, the #1 Hit Music station in the city, plus the newest addition to our growing portfolio C97.7, Calgary’s top ranked station playing the 90’s to now. You’ll have the opportunity to harness the power of these popular stations, while also representing all Stingray Radio stations from Vancouver to St. John’s, unlocking vast sales potential across a nationwide network!
• Leverage a diverse range of media solutions – including radio, programmatic display, programmatic video, connected TV, digital out-of-home, YouTube, search, social, and our proprietary retail media platform – to help clients grow and succeed.
• Own the full sales process: from lead generation and prospecting to client needs analysis, solution presentation, negotiation, and closing.
• Drive revenue growth and achieve revenue targets through consultative sales and development of strategic proposals. Manage and grow your client base while identifying new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams (promotions, programming, creative, production, digital campaign managers) to deliver impactful, multi-platform advertising campaigns.

Your Qualifications

• 2+ years of in-person, consultative 828 sales or account management experience (experience in multi-media advertising or digital media is a plus).
• You’ve consistently achieved and exceeded sales targets.
• You are an excellent communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
• You build strong, lasting relationships while maintaining professionalism.
• You are well-organized, accountable, and skilled at managing time and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• You thrive in a changing environment and approach challenges with a positive, consultative, and optimistic mindset.
• You are a Calgary resident with a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and valid vehicle insurance.
