Job summary

Brockville General Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Women and Child-Surgical Unit in Kingston. You will provide quality nursing care to obstetric patients per unit standards and participate in hospital-wide quality initiatives.

The role requires BScN and current Ontario nursing registration, with 2 years caseroom and post-partum experience, IV/BCLS certification, and labour/delivery exposure preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a BScN and current, good standing registration with the Ontario College of Nurses (OCNO).
• Two years caseroom and post-partum experience required.
• IV and BCLS certification current and maintained throughout employment.
• Previous obstetrical/labour and delivery experience and newborn nursery exposure preferred.
• Case Room Training and recent birth RN experience within last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients within Standards of Nursing Practice.
• Maintain competence through ongoing education and participate in QA programs.
• Participate in hospital-wide activities promoting safe, patient-centered care and quality improvement.
