Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Markham, Ontario, is hiring a part-time Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity.

You will follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration, document in MAR/TAR in real time, and monitor residents during and after passes, reporting concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 18+ years old.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
