Job summary

Aspira Island View Retirement Living in Arnprior, ON is seeking a part-time Nights Medication Care Partner (11:00pm-7:00am) to support residents with compassionate, high-quality care. You will administer medications, assist with daily living activities, document vitals, and contribute to a safe, dignified living environment.

Ideal candidates will have a completed PSW program, Medication Administration certification, First Aid/CPR, and at least 600 hours of related experience, plus eligibility to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and completion of an accredited Personal Support Worker program.
• Medication Administration certification and CPR/First Aid credentials.
• Six hundred hours of related experience, preferably geriatric care.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication according to policies and procedures.
• Reviews Support Plans and assists with ADLs and daily living tasks.
• Monitors and documents vitals, weight, behavior, and mobility.
• Escorts residents to activities, appointments, and dining areas.
• Promptly answers nursing call systems and supports the care team.

As a Medication Care Partner, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care that supports residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being. • Administers medication according to relevant legislative requirements and policies and procedures
• Reviews residents’ Support Plans and provides assistance where indicated, with all required activities of daily living, including but not limited to, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, mobility, continence management, collecting and washing laundry, sorting and storing clean laundry
• Monitors and documents residents’ vitals, weights, behavior, mobility, safety, involvement in activities as indicated on the Personalized Support Plan or any other changes and reports to appropriate Team Members
• Escorts residents to social activity programs, appointments, dining room, etc.
• Promptly answers nursing call systems
• Performing other duties as assigned Courses in gerontology, aging or dementia are an asset

What You Need To Know

• High School Diploma and completion of an accredited Personal Support Worker program that meets legislative standards
• Medication Administration certification
• First Aid and CPR certified as well as experience with medication administration
• Six hundred (600) hours of related experience, including both class time and practical experience, preferably with clinical experience in a geriatric setting
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
