Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Oakville, ON is seeking a part-time Caregiver to support residents with daily activities and personal care. This casual role offers on-demand hours with paid training and opportunities for career growth within a person-centered care model.

You will follow individualized care plans, promote safety and dignity, and engage residents in conversations and activities while coordinating with dining services and care leaders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Compassion, reliability and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and personal care.
• Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and document changes.
• Promote safety, dignity and independence.
• Engage residents through conversation and daily activities.
• Support dining services and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
• Communicate effectively with families and care leaders.
• In Memory Care, create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss.
