  2. 5+ years of experience designing and optimizing electromechanical systems.
  3. proven ability to apply mechanical, electronics, and software engineering fundamentals to successfully solve complex design challenges.
  4. the ability to communicate complex and abstract ideas, visually, verbally, and in writing.
  5. experience with embedded firmware development in C, C++.
  6. experience with PCB design and schematic capture using Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCAD or similar.
  7. ability to troubleshoot and debug electronics hardware using lab equipment such as multimeter, oscilloscope, signal analyzer, hardware debugger, etc.
  8. experience (and enjoy) working hands-on with electronics and mechanical systems, including soldering, wiring, assembling, and testing these systems.
  9. ability to develop analytical models and perform data analysis, preferably with Python.
  10. experience developing control systems with embedded or industrial solutions.
  11. experience with data acquisition systems.
  12. familiarity with and ability to effectively use version control tools such as Git.
  13. competency with computer-aided design and engineering tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Onshape, etc.).
  14. proven ability to work directly and successfully with external customers and suppliers.
  15. a passion and perseverance for all aspects of product design, engineering, and prototyping.
  16. experience in an ISO9001 or ISO13485 quality management environment is an asset.
  17. a desire to be part of and help build a high-performing team.
  18. a passion for robotics systems.

Key Responsibilities

As a Product Development Engineer reporting to a Product Development Team Lead, you will:

  1. leverage your blend of mechanical, electronics, robotics, and firmware knowledge and skills to design and engineer elegant and practical electromechanical solutions with manufacturability and end-user satisfaction in mind.
