A leading company is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to create and implement test plans, design tooling, and ensure products meet specifications. The ideal candidate will have more than three years of experience in product testing and tooling design, particularly using Solidworks, supported by a strong understanding of engineering mathematics.

Description

The Mechanical Test Engineer is responsible for creating test plans to verify that the product that they have made meets the requirements that were set out upon conception. This individual needs to be creative when devising test plans based on varying parameters under which they will be testing devices. The Mechanical Test Engineer is responsible for designing any tooling to be used in their tests and effectively documenting test plans and outcomes.

MUST HAVES:

• 3+ years of testing in a product development space
• 3+ years of experience designing tooling (jigs and fixtures) in Solidworks
• 3+ years creating and setting up design verification test plans
• Understanding of mathematics at an engineering level in order to be able to conduct statistical analysis

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with specific med device standards (CSA IEC 60601-1, ISO 10993, ISO 8600)
• Registration as an EIT with APEGBC
• Experience with test automation using microcontrollers

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
