Foremost seeks a Mechanical Technical Illustrator/Writer for a 6-month temporary term at our Calgary facility. You will produce high-quality documentation, interpret engineering drawings, and collaborate with engineers and service staff to improve product usability.

The role requires a technical writing or engineering technology background, 3–5 years of experience, and proficiency in Illustrator, FrameMaker, Acrobat, and MS Office. Strong communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Post secondary diploma or degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communications, Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Combination of experience and technical education for documentation of industrial equipment is accepted.
• Minimum of three to five years of technical illustrator or technical writer experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Responsabilités

• Produce high-quality documentation appropriate for its audience.
• Collaborate with engineers and service staff on documentation needs.
• Interact with manufacturing facility teams to understand products and documentation requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, parts diagrams, BOM or CAD documentation.
• Develop governance documentation: policies, frameworks, standards, guidelines, procedures.
• Ensure content adheres to writing rules, standards, and legal requirements.
