Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our Western Canadian Engineering group. The role supports diverse projects nationwide, applying standard project management practices and leveraging technical knowledge of mechanical systems.

You will lead and contribute to proposals, manage deliverables, mentor teammates, and collaborate with other disciplines. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and MS Office is expected, with PE registration and PMP/CAPM a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; P.Eng registered.
• Willing to join other provincial associations.
• PMP or CAPM designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of engineering consulting experience with progressive responsibilities.
• Strong client-facing skills and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical and multi-disciplinary deliverables to scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Lead and support business development incl. proposal writing and client relationships.
• Develop and maintain strong project management governance processes.
• Mentor team members and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
