Job summary

PCL is seeking Mechanical Engineering students for our Canadian Industrial Division to work on a project site near North Vancouver, BC. Positions run for 8 or 12 months starting January 2027.

You will contribute to planning, scheduling, cost control, and field issue resolution while participating in safety campaigns and site meetings. Ideal candidates are pursuing a mechanical engineering degree or diploma, with strong interest in construction, and familiarity with AutoCAD/Bluebeam is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering with a mechanical major.
• Field construction experience is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and cost control.
• Participate in project meetings and review drawings.
• Submit requests for information (RFIs) and track responses.
• Assist with field technical issues resolution.
• Act as ambassador for safety campaigns and conduct field safety inspections.
• Communicate changes with trades staff.
• Set up and maintain record-keeping.
• Perform ad hoc duties as required.
