Job summary

PCL in Edmonton, Alberta, seeks Engineering Students for the Canadian Industrial Division to join the Construction Engineering team. You will work on 4, 8, or 12 month assignments starting January 2027, contributing to process documentation, evaluating improvements, and training users on new procedures.

This student role emphasizes hands-on experience in a real construction environment, with exposure to AutoCAD/Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering with a mechanical or civil major.
Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
Application of various computer software programs will be required, including Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam is an asset.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain process documentation for several department functions.
Identify opportunities for improvement of existing business applications and processes.
Work with the procedure team to ensure the final product meets the business requirements.
Coordinate and communicate with department representatives to resolve procedural and documentation issues.
Train users in the efficient use of PCL’s procedures.
