Job summary

MCW Custom Energy Solutions Ltd. in Toronto invites a self-motivated Mechanical Engineering Co-op student to join our team. You will assist in designing mechanical HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for diverse facilities, while gaining exposure to CAD tools and engineering workflow in a consulting environment.

The position starts September 2026 with 4, 8, or 12 month contracts. Ideal candidates are pursuing an undergraduate engineering degree (mechanical preferred), have familiarity

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, preferably mechanical.
• Working knowledge or experience with AutoCAD and/or REVIT is an asset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Desire to work in a team-based environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of mechanical HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems in various facilities.
• Assist engineers and designers with the preparation of technical drawings.
• Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations.
• Participate in site visits.
• Other duties as assigned.
