1. Key Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for oil and gas field applications using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and documentation for manufacturing.
• Support product development from concept through to production and field deployment.
• Conduct material selection, tolerance stack-ups, and design for manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including field technicians, project managers, and vendors.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Proficient in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, drawings).
• Experience designing and testing downhole oilfield tools.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tolerancing, and manufacturing practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• P.Eng designation or registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Alberta is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with pressure-containing equipment, downhole tools, or rotating machinery.
• Familiarity with ASME and API standards.
• Experience with FEA or other engineering analysis tools.
