Mechanical Field Service Engineer - Canada (Remote)

Partner with the best

The Field Specialist coordinates and oversees work at the field site, providing quality service to the customer. Responsibilities include planning the job, instructing the crew, coordinating equipment use, and managing equipment clean-up, repair, and preparation for subsequent jobs.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform installation and/or maintenance activities of Turbo Rotating equipment at customer sites independently.
• Conduct minor and major maintenance following quality checklists and procedures.
• Serve as the primary contact with the Customer Representative and Site Team to coordinate activities.
• Maintain records of all activities and promote good team relations.
• Follow all safety and procedural requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment under maintenance or installation in the field.
• Adhere to Baker Hughes core values: HSE, Quality, and Compliance.

Qualifications:

• Two-year Technical Degree preferred; industry experience and turbomachinery product training required.
• At least 2 years of experience with mechanical maintenance of turbo machinery such as gas turbines or centrifugal compressors.
• Strong technical, customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Work flexibility:

Flexible working patterns are available, including travel (50-75%) and hours (50-60 hours/week when needed).

Benefits and compensation:

Salary range: CAD 90,000-110,000 plus overtime and travel compensation. Additional benefits include health, insurance, education assistance, parental leave, mental health resources, and more.
