Qualifications

• Accredited four-year engineering degree with at least 3 years of related experience; professional registration if required.
• Ability to communicate with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge to complete assignments.
• Ability to learn applicable local statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work approach.
• Intermediate computer skills including word processing, email, spreadsheets and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead in using cost-competitive engineering techniques for cost-effective solutions.
• Develop and review specifications and design criteria.
• Participate in equipment/material procurement, permitting and subcontracting.
• Perform calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex problems.
• Review vendor documentation for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze problems and make independent recommendations aligned with project objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
