The candidate should have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and at least five years of experience in oil & gas equipment design, with proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment design and manufacturing in oil & gas.
• Eligible for registration with APEGA.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and structural integrity analysis (FEA preferred).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from concept through completion within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Translate customer requirements into practical, cost-effective designs.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to validate design integrity.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability, serviceability, and cost targets.
• Prepare technical documentation including drawings, specs, and reports.
• Provide lifecycle engineering support including manufacturing and field service.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce design costs.
• Supervise and mentor designers, reviewing designs and calculations.
• Collaborate with sales and manufacturing to support objectives.
• Execute additional tasks to meet organizational goals.
