Job description

The ideal candidate is a skilled Mechanical Engineer who can support the development of cutting-edge technologies and contribute to our reputation of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for oil and gas field applications using SolidWorks
• Run FEA and CFD analysis for unique and interesting design considerations
• Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and documentation for manufacturing
• Support product development from concept through to production and field deployment
• Conduct material selection, tolerance stack-ups, and design for manufacturability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including field technicians, project managers, and vendors
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and safety regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in the oil and gas sector
• Proficient in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, drawings)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tolerancing, and manufacturing practices
• Microsoft program proficiency
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• P.Eng designation or registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Alberta is considered an asset
• Familiarity with ASME and API standards
• FEA, CFD, or other engineering analysis tools
• Experience working with RSS, MWD, LWD, Agitation tools, Reamers and Thru Tubing
