Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler for a full-time position at our Mississauga facility. You will read engineering drawings, assemble products, and maintain quality standards while working safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, completing production orders on time, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventive maintenance. The role offers an hourly wage between CAD 17.95 and CAD 28.37 with discretionary bonus and company-paid

Qualifications

• Must read, interpret and execute work from engineering drawings.
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude with hands-on tooling experience.
• Able to read work orders and complete tasks on schedule.
• Problem solving with a solution-focused approach to issues.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• General manufacturing techniques understanding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Clean and maintain the work area during and after shift.
• Follow SOPs and job safety guidelines.
• Assemble products according to engineering drawings.
• Complete production orders with quality and on time.
• Troubleshoot production issues as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Lock out and tag out equipment when not in use.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
