Job summary

SPX Technologies’ Sigma-Omega Corporation in Mississauga, Ontario, is hiring a Mechanical Assembler for a full-time role at our 120,000 sq ft facility. You will read engineering drawings, assemble products to specifications, maintain quality and safety, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate can handle tools, lift up to 50 lbs, and work to deadlines with attention to detail. We offer an hourly wage with discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, interpret and execute work according to engineering drawings.
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude, comfortable with hands-on tools.
• Ability to read work orders and complete tasks on time.
• Problem solving and solution-oriented approach to abnormalities.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Working knowledge of safe lifting practices.
• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• General knowledge of manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment.

• Complete production orders with highest level of quality and within allocated standard time.
• Troubleshoot production issues, as necessary.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable person to join our team as a Mechanical Assembler in a full-time position.
The successful applicant should also be a responsible team player, who is able to work individually and has strong attention to detail in performing everyday tasks.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe work environment.

Compensation Disclosure
