Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) in its Fluid division in Canada. You will perform maintenance and minor repairs on pumps and dryers, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, professional service while supporting customers.

Responsibilities include documenting service, training junior technicians, demonstrating equipment, and traveling to sites. A strong mechanical background and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing and maintaining dryers and pumps.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines.
• Ability to read schematics/diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining dryers and pumps of various sizes, capacities and manufacturers
• Knowledge of construction equipment
• Strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Own the tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Valid driver\'s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
