Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech I) in Canada. You’ll perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on pumps, fluid support equipment and ancillaries using diesel and mechanical skills in a safe, professional manner.

This role emphasizes safe operation, customer service and teamwork, with opportunities to advance within our Service Department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of applicable tools.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs of rental equipment and tools including checking oil, grease, fluids and tagging for rental ready status.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.

What You'll Do
