Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Service Technician in our Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division. You will perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on rental flooring equipment and demonstrate equipment to customers while delivering exceptional service.

Requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver's license, basic electrical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and strong communication skills, with the ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
