Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair flooring and facilities equipment, delivering safe, professional service to customers in Ottawa. You will perform inspections, demonstrate equipment, and support delivery and pickup.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, basic electrical knowledge, and strong mechanical aptitude, along with excellent customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed

As a Service Technician at United Rentals supporting our Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division, you will use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner.
