Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Technician for its Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division in Canada. You will perform maintenance checks, conduct repairs, and demonstrate equipment to customers while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Strong mechanical aptitude and a valid driver's license are required, with the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. This on-site position offers opportunities for growth within the service department and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
