Job summary

Trans East Trailers Ltd is seeking commercial trailer mechanics of all experience levels. The role involves performing mechanical work on trailers, maintaining quality, and collaborating with the shop team to ensure timely repairs.

Applicants should be self-starters with good communication skills and a team-player mindset. ABS diagnostic equipment knowledge is helpful, and a mechanic license is an asset. Health and group benefits are offered with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a commercial trailer mechanic is required or at least welcomed at all levels.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and follow shop manager instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the Sales Team and Parts desk.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work on commercial trailers.
• Ensure quality of work and maintain orderly, clean working habits.
• Report nonconforming situations and progress to the shop manager.
• Read and understand work orders given by shop manager; report progress.
• Work with Parts desk to obtain necessary materials for repairs.
• Assist in other projects and duties as assigned by the shop manager.
• Collaborate with Sales Team when needed to discuss repairs.

Trans East Trailers is a commercial trailer sales, service parts and rentals with quickly growing parts and service departments. We are currently looking for 310J and 310T Mechanics. All experience levels are welcome to apply. Pay rate is dependent on experience.

Description of Work Tasks
