U-Pak Disposals Ltd. is seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic (310J licensed) to join our team in Etobicoke, ON. You will repair and maintain a fleet of trailers to ensure safe, reliable service.

Duties include routine maintenance, annual inspections under the MTO DriveOn program, and diagnostics across electrical, braking, suspension, and chassis systems. Formación

• Must have a valid 310J License.
• Prior experience in trailer maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
• Proficiency in using hand tools to dig, assemble, and maintain trailers.
• Secondary School (preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine maintenance on trailers.
• Complete annual inspections as per the MTO DriveOn program requirements.
• Work with a fleet of over 120 trailers (van, walking floor, tipper, end dump).
• Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostic and repair work on electrical systems.
• Conduct diagnostic and repair work on landing gear assemblies and trailer frames.
• Repair trailer bodywork, suspension, and axles; service air, brake, hydraulic, heating and refrigeration systems.

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic (310J Licensed required) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining trailers, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.

Experience

• Heavy Equipment Repair: 2 years (preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on trailers
• Complete annual inspections as per the MTO DriveOn program requirements
• Work with a fleet of over 120 trailers (van, walking floor, tipper, end dump).

Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostic and repair work on the following:

• Electrical systems
• Landing gear assemblies and trailer frames
• Trailer bodywork and repair
• Suspension
• Coupling and hitching systems
• Tires, hubs, wheels and axles
• Air, brake, hydraulic, heating and refrigeration systems

Qualifications

• Must have a valid 310J License
• Prior experience in trailer maintenance
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes
• Proficiency in using hand tools to dig, assemble, and maintain trailers
• Secondary School (preferred)

Ability to Commute or Relocate

• Etobicoke, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
