Job summary

The Erb Group in Canada is seeking 310J Trailer Mechanics and Apprentices to maintain and repair Erb trailers across our fleet. You will perform inspections, document repairs, and coordinate with operations to minimize downtime.

Qualified candidates have at least two years of heavy equipment repair experience, a 310J license or apprenticeship, and strong safety and communication skills. Welding is a plus, and you must provide your own tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in repairs of heavy equipment including experience using electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Licensed 310J Technician or Apprentice.
• Welding experience considered an asset.
• Applicant is required to provide their own tools.
• Experience with MS Office Suite and TNT an asset.
• Positive attitude with proven people skills.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Safety focused.

Responsibilities

• Repair trailers and other equipment as required.
• Complete monthly service and inspection of all Erb trailers.

• Document all repairs on work orders on computer system. Fill out appropriate inspections sheets when required.
• Ensure all parts are marked in daily.
• When necessary, ability to road test vehicles.
• Communicate with dispatch to prioritise availability of equipment as required.
• Follow shop procedures, company policies, and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
• May assist drivers with road breakdown repairs as required.
• May be required to perform repairs inside or outside shop.
• Assist in property maintenance and cleaning of shop when required.
• All other duties as required.
