As a Diesel Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV), you'll perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment with limited supervision in a safe and professional manner. You will have opportunities for growth and leadership within our Service Department, while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment, using independent judgment.
2. Travel to customer sites for equipment repair/maintenance as needed; maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
3. Assist in training lower-level technicians.
4. Complete and document work orders accurately and promptly.
5. Assist with equipment and parts pickup/delivery.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
3. 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance/repair.
4. Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of tools.
5. Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, schematics, and diagrams.
6. Own tools applicable to the position.
7. Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
8. Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive according to United Rentals' policies.
