What you’ll do

• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring shelves are stocked and responding to customer needs
• Maintain and stock product displays and shelves to meet company standards
• Ensure accurate product scanning, identify inventory needs, and assist with ordering
• Set up company-directed promotions and programs
• Keep department areas neat and ensure health and safety standards are met

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, courteous customer service to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experiences
• Assist in overseeing the meat wrapping operation, ensuring product is stocked, maintained, and the department runs efficiently
• Stock, merchandise, and maintain meat freezers, counters, and bunkers
• Maintain the fresh meat counter and ensure proper rotation and setup
• Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, maintaining good relations
• Assist in training new meat clerks
• Help with product ordering under the Meat Manager’s guidance
• Clean all equipment, adhering to sanitation and safety policies
• Perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting (>50 lbs.)
• Other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Flexibility to work various hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
• 2-3 years of experience in the retail meat industry
• Excellent knowledge of all meat cuts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
