Job summary

ABL Direct is seeking a commercially driven Meat Trader to grow profitable beef and lamb sales across foodservice distributors, wholesalers, and regional distribution partners in Canada.

The role offers a base salary with bonus opportunity ($95,000 - $129,000 CAD) plus comprehensive benefits and a pension, with an immediate vacancy.

You will develop new business, negotiate contracts, monitor market trends, and collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in meat trading or protein sales
• Proven success selling beef and/or lamb into distribution or wholesale
• Knowledge of meat cuts, specifications, grading systems, and market pricing
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing profitable customer relationships

Responsibilities:

• - Knowledge of international meat markets and import/export regulations
