Job summary

Stong’s Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to assist customers with meat information, weigh and price orders, and maintain display cases in a clean, safe environment in Vancouver. Responsibilities

• Assist customers with meat product information to aid purchasing decisions
• Package, weigh, and price customer orders
• Maintain display cases and rotate stock per health standards
• Provide customers with information about different types and cuts of meat, cooking methods, and preparation techniques
• Backroom inventory management and regular counts
• Stock and replace products to prevent damages
• Assist with other departmental functions including rotating, stocking, cleaning and maintaining appearance of the store
• Performs other related duties as assigned

We are looking for a Meat Clerk to join our team.The focus of this role is to help customersby answering product related questions, taking orders, selecting, weighing,pricing and wrapping meat products.Further responsibilities include managing the displays by removing expiring meat products, labeling goods according to their prices and specifications, maintain storage, and ensure that all health standards and protocols and followed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with meat product information to assist with purchasing decisions
• Package, weigh, and price customer orders
• Clean and maintain specialty knives andequipment
• Provide customers with information aboutdifferent types and cuts of meat, cooking methods, and preparation techniques
• Maintain display cases to health and safetystandards with proper product rotation
• Ensure the store isclean, safe and ready for shoppers
• Rotation, loading andunloading of meat department product
• Stock and replaceproducts to avoid any damages
• Backroom and inventorymanagement
• Assist the department with regular inventory count
• Assist with other departmental functions whichinclude but are not limited to rotating, stocking, cleaning and maintaining theappearance and organization of the store
• Performsother related duties as assigned
