Riverton Co-op in Riverton, MB is hiring a Meat Cutter on a permanent, on-site basis. You will work closely with the meat department team to prepare and display fresh products, deliver friendly service, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant meat-cutting experience.
• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Commitment to food safety, quality, cleanliness, and safe work practices.
• Customer-focused, reliable, and able to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, and prepare meat, fish, and seafood products according to quality and food safety standards.
• Cut, fillet, trim, package, price, and merchandise products for sale using proper tools and equipment.
• Maintain inventory, rotate stock using FIFO practices, and complete required logs and records.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, provide product recommendations, and assist with special orders.
• Follow production plans to ensure displays are fully stocked, fresh, and visually appealing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including equipment maintenance and temperature monitoring.
• Support the training and development of new and existing team members as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
