Job summary

A prominent retail co-operative in Calgary is seeking a Meat Cutter to ensure exceptional customer service and maintain operational efficiency. The successful candidate will handle meat functions, ensure adherence to safety standards, and supervise in the absence of the Meat Supervisor. Position requires Grade 12 or equivalent and meat cutting certification or experience. Competitive wages and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Meat cutting certification or currently enrolled & have completed the first practicum of the Meat Cutting Certification Program or minimum of 2 years retail meat cutting work experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer service and operation efficiency.
• Plan and perform all aspects of meat functions.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the department.
• Handle merchandise with a focus on quality.
• Conduct inventory and administrative tasks as needed.
• Provide supervision in the absence of the supervisor.
