Job summary

Timberlands Food Store in Red Deer is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our team. This casual position offers less than 24 hours per week with weekday and weekend shifts across mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Applicants should have strong customer service skills and knife handling abilities, with training available. Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a cold environment. This posting remains open until filled.

Are you dedicated to providing exceptional customer service? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments? Timberlands Food Store in Red Deer presents the perfect opportunity for you! We're seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our dynamic team. Central Alberta Co-op is participating in the Alberta Youth Incentive Program which supports hiring youth from the ages 15 to 24.

Position: Meat Cutter

Casual: Less than 24 hours per week

Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer questions
• Skillfully slicing, trimming, and preparing a variety of meat selections and cuts, then carefully wrapping and packaging each with utmost precision.
• Manage time efficiently to complete all special orders
• Order, receive, and display merchandise
• Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire
• Perform general housekeeping duties, following proper sanitation procedures and maintaining housekeeping logs
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

• Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
