Job summary

Douglas College’s Mathematics Upgrading Department seeks an excellent mathematics instructor to motivate and support adult upgrading students. The successful candidate will teach courses at fundamental, intermediate and advanced ABE levels in a collaborative environment and contribute to curriculum development.

The position is part-time regular (minimum of 7 sections, 87.5% total) and may be taught at the New Westminster or Coquitlam campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Master’s degree preferred
• Experience teaching adult upgrading (ABE) learners
• Teaching credential or certification requested

Responsibilities

• Instruct students and facilitate learning in Math Upgrading courses across levels
• Plan, organize and manage learning activities and resources
• Provide academic advising and participate in curriculum development and professional development
