Job summary

Forbest Academy seeks dedicated educators to teach mathematics in Vancouver and Richmond. The role involves evening and after‑school sessions, with on‑call opportunities and a flexible schedule to meet student demand.

Candidates should have a solid background in BC curriculum, AP/IB prep familiarity, and at least 2–3 years of teaching or tutoring experience. Excellent communication and the ability to tailor instruction to diverse learners are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in the relevant subject area.
• Familiar with BC curriculum, AP, IB, SAT, SSAT; experience coaching or teaching competitive Mathematics contest material.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience developing AP/IB preparatory materials is advantageous.
• BC teaching certification or equivalent is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.
• Must commute between Richmond and Vancouver as needed.

Qualifications And Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant subject area.
• Preference given to candidates familiar with the BC curriculum, AP, IB, SAT, SSAT, and experience coaching or teaching competitive Mathematics contest material.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
• Experience in developing AP/IB preparatory materials is advantageous.
• Possession of a valid BC teaching certification or its equivalent is an asset.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.
• Ability to commute between Richmond and Vancouver locations as needed.

Position Details

• Opportunities available for both full-time and part-time roles.
• Total teaching hours vary based on your availability.
• Hourly Rate: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule

• Teaching on an on-call basis.
• Primarily scheduled Monday to Friday during after-school and evening hours.
