Job summary

Forbest Academy Inc. in the Greater Vancouver Area invites applicants to join its team as a part- or full-time tutor/teacher.

The role focuses on delivering engaging mathematics instruction, preparing students for AP/IB and competitive math materials, and supporting diverse learners. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or higher, 2–3 years teaching or tutoring experience, and the ability to work flexible after-school hours, with commute between Richmond and Vancouver as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject area.
• Familiarity with BC curriculum, AP, IB, SAT, SSAT; experience coaching or teaching Math contest material.
• 2–3 years of teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
• Experience developing AP/IB preparatory materials is advantageous.
• Valid BC teaching certification or its equivalent is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.
• Ability to commute between Richmond and Vancouver locations as needed.

• Possession of a valid BC teaching certification or its equivalent is an asset.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.
• Ability to commute between Richmond and Vancouver locations as needed.

Position Details:

• Opportunities available for both full-time and part-time roles.
• Total teaching hours vary based on your availability.
• Hourly Rate: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• Applicants must currently reside in the Greater Vancouver Area and be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Work Schedule:

• Teaching on an on-call basis.
• Primarily scheduled Monday to Friday during after-school and evening hours.

• Schedule adjustments may occur during school holidays based on student demand.
