Job summary

Nova Hotels is seeking a Reservations Supervisor to lead the reservations team at Chateau Nova Yellowknife. The role focuses on coordinating daily reservation activities, ensuring accuracy of guest bookings, and collaborating with Front Office, Sales, and Housekeeping to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling, and ensuring proper use of reservation systems. The position is permanent full-time with competitive hourly wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Previous experience in hotel reservations, front desk, guest services or similar; required.
• Related college coursework in hospitality, tourism or accommodation services is an asset.
• Experience coordinating or supervising employees is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reservation systems, property-management systems and general computer applications.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organization, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to resolve guest and employee concerns professionally.
• Ability to prioritize work and coordinate activities with multiple hotel departments.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays when required.

• Train employees in reservation procedures, hotel policies, guest service standards and use of reservation systems.
• Resolve work-related problems and elevate issues when appropriate.
• Prepare and maintain reservation records, reports and other operational information.
• Help ensure the smooth operation of reservation and property-management systems and report system or equipment issues.
• Assist with individual and group reservations as required and perform reservation duties during busy periods.
• Support the onboarding and training of new reservations employees.

We are looking for an organized and guest-focused Reservations Supervisor to support our team at Chateau Nova Yellowknife (4571- 48 Street Yellowknife, NWT X1A 0E2). The Reservations Supervisor coordinates the day-to-day work of the reservations team, helps ensure bookings are handled accurately and efficiently, and works closely with other hotel departments to provide a smooth experience for our guests.
