Job summary

Nova Hotels' Nova Inn Yellowknife is seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, check them in and out, and assist with reservations in a fast-paced environment.

You will balance payments, coordinate with housekeeping, and provide local recommendations while upholding a friendly, guest-focused service culture. Prior hotel or customer service experience is preferred, and a positive team attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Previous hotel or front desk experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests with friendly, professional service
• Checking guests in and out efficiently and accurately
• Answering phones and assisting with reservations
• Handling guest questions, requests, and concerns with care and professionalism

What You’ll Do

As the first and last impression of the hotel, you’ll play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming stay for every guest. Your day may include:

• Welcoming guests with friendly, professional service
• Checking guests in and out efficiently and accurately
• Answering phones and assisting with reservations
• Handling guest questions, requests, and concerns with care and professionalism
• Processing payments and balancing cash transactions

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, positive, and guest-focused
• Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment
• Reliable and flexible with scheduling
• A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Experienced in hospitality or customer service (hotel experience is considered an asset)
