Position Overview

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. (ACSI) is a multi-disciplined construction company offering superior civil, electrical and mechanical services including piping, insulation, scaffolding, and module fabrication. We’re always on the search for exceptional craft candidates to fill our ever-expanding project portfolios. ACSI is seeking experienced Materials Technicians to join our industrial team to support project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Receives shipments and ensures that they are complete and in good order.
• Applies inventory management practices and maintains accurate inventory records.
• Coordinates and arranges transportation of materials on site amongst trade groups.
• Maintains material identification records inventory.
• Operates material handling equipment (dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, conveyors).
• Handles and stores products in appropriate storage areas.
• Journeyperson may supervise apprentices and warehouse personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Experience

• CSTS-20 Certificate
• Experience as a Materials Technician in an industrial construction environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
• Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.

Project: BHP Wet Mill Assembly

Rate: $32.30 to $46.13 per hour

Overtime: Per collective agreement

Schedule: 14/7

Camp: Yes

Allowances: Per pre job, Travel allowance based on proof of residence.
