Job summary

Pilkington Glass of Canada Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead the materials production area, scheduling, logistics and inventory control. You will drive cost reduction while maintaining product quality and customer service.

The role requires a 4-year business management degree, 5 years in manufacturing, and at least 2 years in supervision. You will implement 5S discipline, oversee procurement, and develop plans to maximize capacity and asset utilization.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Business Management or related field.
• 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years experience in a supervisory role.
• Demonstrated ability in solving problems related to manufacturing processes.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and must be an effective communicator.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the materials production area, scheduling, logistics / customer service and inventory control functions.
• Ensure materials and services are procured in a timely manner at the lowest possible prices without impacting quality, performance, or customer service.
• Implement and maintain effective controls for all areas of responsibility.
• Provide long-term production and inventory plans that ensure optimal utilization of capacity and assets.
• Establish and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships.
